6th Oct 2015....Bear Notch Rd, White Mountains, NH......

It was cloudy back at the campsite in Twin Mountain but cleared to a beautiful warm and sunny day by the time we got to Crawford Notch and our drive along Bear Notch Road....
A stunning view from the peaceful drive up through Bear Notch....
The colours are starting to get more vibrant each day...apparently the "fall" is a week behind but for us it's fabulous....
Sorry for the amount of "leaf peeping" photos but it is so photogenic...

The Bear Notch Road is closed in winter.....

From the Bear Notch Road we again drive part of the Kancamagus Highway....

The Albany Covered Bridge built in 1858....
Today's lunch sandwich spot in the gorgeous sunshine....
I love these old trucks...
Camp Harris and Yorkieman off to top up the propane !!!
The Ammonoosuc River and the view from our home on wheels...
The trees vibrant in the morning sunshine at our campsite.....
We have had a fabulous stay in The White Mountain area of New Hampshire, it has been everything that we envisaged and more.....
Tomorrow we move over to Vermont...."Vermont should be beautiful at this time of year" ....a quote from one of our favourite Christmas films...
All being well, more soon from
The Colourful Campers....

  1. Its getting really colourful now isn't it! Those blue skies and the autumn trees, pretty impressive. Lots of rain here early week but now better and I'm hoping to get 9 holes with Doug this afternoon. AGM tonight - and if all well officially elected to management committee, or as Doug keeps pointing out - the loss of my car parking space!! take care - enjoy A&M xx
