30th Sept-1st Oct...What A Difference A Day Makes....ME to NH...

Well we can't complain as we've had great weather but heavy rain overnight and although a brief respite while we hitched up our home on wheels...it was then "stair-rods" for the whole 6 hours of the journey.....such a shame as the route after a few miles on the I-95 was along the 2 and a very pretty drive through some really neat towns...
Once more into New Hampshire and our home for the next week or so...
The Presidential Mountain Range which includes Mount Washington, hopefully to be viewed on a better day than today !!!!

What a difference a day makes !!!
We are in the delightful town of Littleton....they have so many lovely touches like this covered bridge across the Ammonoosuc River....most covered bridges are old or rebuilt/renovated so good to see the art is not dead !
The town promotes music with several large scale percussion instruments in the park and around the town for anyone to play....even I managed a half decent tune !! Great fun....
The Ammonoosuc River which flows along the side of the town....

The Littleton Public Library.....built in 1906....
Behind the tree and not captured very well by Mrs Blogger is a bronze sculpture of Pollyanna the sunny character created by Littleton-born author Eleanor Hodgeman Porter...
On the 2nd Saturday in June the town celebrates Pollyanna Day, a day of ceremonies that celebrate "gladness"....
Colourful umbrellas in Pollyanna Street gateway...
I might not have captured the sculpture of Pollyanna (put it down to yesterday's rain addling my brain !) but I did get a shot of the very pretty tree outside of the library !!!
We have been advised by the campsite owner to be very careful when driving and be aware of Moose more so at this time of year as it's mating time and the bucks are very aggressive and tend to stand in the road....even with our truck it is not a good idea to argue with them !!!
Tomorrow we plan to savour some of the many scenic attractions of this area but for now, more soon from the Sunny Campers...
