| Although below freezing overnight we are so lucky to be in the White Mountains on this beautiful day, our hearts go out to the people of South Carolina who have lost their homes and their lives in the awful flooding over the past couple of days.... |

| Older buildings in Lancaster, one of the small towns on our route north today....a local on seeing us taking a photo of the building though we were from a newspaper and was quite disappointed when we said we just tourists but we had a good chat about the town and local area... |

I think I may start a petition to get our bridges covered (then again probably wouldn`t have the same appeal in Birmingham).
Love the pictures showing the reflections in the lake,what a spot for your lunch break.
Wrap up warm against the night time tempreatures ,and keep clear of moose.
